            Prepare a list:

Before you start to pack what has to be carried and what not, make a list of the essential items of the baby which has to be carried since last minute rush can lead to forgetting to add something or the other which we realise later. It initially is time consuming and stressful but it would be a go-to list anytime in future if you plan such trips with the baby. The list would include diapers, extra pair of clothing, medicines, shoes, napkins and so on. You can always take a carrier so that the baby can happily nap while you carry them in the carrier without they getting disturbed.

          Pack the necessary snacks:

When it comes to babies, we have to be very careful of what food items they would need to have. Since as a mother, we are unsure of how good or hygienic are the packaged foods from the stores hence to save all the hassle during the journey it is best to carry snacks which last for longer days and are also easy to be carried. It is always good to carry fruits, whole grain cereals, readily available food powders. Ensure that all the food items should be packed carefully and kept in each separate container. Also do not forget to carry some extra water bottle for the baby.

      Keep the toys handy:

During the vacation period one would not want to have the child being cranky and irritated all the while hence as matter of distraction it is best to carry some travel toys for the baby. The toys would keep them busy and also provide you some sigh of relief to roam around and enjoy the travel. Be always ready for your child, keep in mind that the child needs all your attention while in travelling. Try to avoid any instance of crankiness by making the child always a priority.

Book a seat for the baby:

Though babies under two travel free and most of the times babies are on their mother’s lap but it doesn’t harm to book a separate seat for the baby as well specially those who can sit well. It is one of the safe options and it would also provide the others space to relax and enjoy.

     Maintain hygiene:

Since there is a baby travelling along, it is always best and recommended to avoid travelling to those places where the baby can tend to get sick. Always carry baby wipes and antibacterial hand wash to keep yourself as well as the baby clean. Keep a separate pouch of medicines, maintain two different one for the family members and the other for the baby. Ensure that you carry all the baby’s medicines which may be required.

Plan out the day as it comes:

Plan out the travel days as it comes. Ensure that the baby follows the routine of proper snack time and bed time, this would ease your stress and would also provide ample amount of rest to you if the routine of the baby is maintained. Encourage healthy eating and follow a strict schedule so that there are no health related issues. Ensure to change the plans if it doesn’t work with the current situation. Let the kid have some play time for themselves as well. At the end of the day it is all about enjoying the time as it comes.
